Why Should You Use BLUU Rental Services?
Simply put, the best answer to your car-hire needs is BLUU Car Rental — but don’t just take our word for it! We’ve listed some of the top reasons to rent a car through BLUU car hire below:
High Standard and Top-quality Service
With more than 40 outlets spread out across the country, BLUU Car Hire South Africa has developed a strong presence in the industry. All of South Africa’s major airports are included in its network, ensuring easy access to pick-up and drop-off sites.
Over 4,500 vehicles, including budget, premium, and speciality vehicles, make up the BLUU South African rental car inventory. Modern safety features are available in every vehicle too.
BLUU Car Rentals only began operations in 2021 under its current name, but it’s by no means a new player on the pitch. The company was formerly Bidvest Car Rental, a business that has long been one of the most reputable and significant car rental providers in South Africa.
Thesele Group purchased the former car hire company to launch a brand-new business while preserving the Bidvest standards of excellence. BLUU Car Rental, a new business, was created.
Reliability, Safety & Customer Road Support
Before, during, and after a rental, BLUU Car Rental works hard to deliver excellent service.
For mechanical failures and car accidents, a nationwide network of motor vehicle service providers is available through the BLUU Assist call centre’s 24-hour availability. This is perfect for those sticky situations where you need assistance with possible issues that may arise — for instance, flat tyres, misplaced keys, low fuel, etc.
Convenient & Flexible Travel
With branches at the airport, among other convenient locations, BLUU Car Rental makes it possible for you to pick up your vehicle as soon as you arrive in Cape Town. This means you’ll have no need — or desire — to hassle with an expensive Uber or an unreliable taxi.
BLUU car rental understands flexibility is essential to today’s way of life. With options for car rental for a day, a week, or even a month, depending on how much time you need to use it. With BLUU, you get complete flexibility and control.

Top Tips for Hiring a BLUU Car Rental in Cape Town
- Use our search engine to find the cheapest rate for your vehicle hire in Cape Town.
- Fill up your car before returning. Every BLUU vehicle is hired out with a full tank of gas. However, tenants are free to use their cars independently if they choose. Renters must pay a further R40 refuelling cost if their vehicles are returned with an empty tank.
- Try to rent a car from a branch located in the town centre rather than one at the airport. This saves you some money each day because it’s a little less expensive.
- Before taking the car, be sure to inspect the vehicle for any pre-existing damage or scratches. Also, take pictures of each dent or issue so you won’t be made to pay for anything you didn’t cause.
